Whoa, holy jeez, long time since the last update! Fittingly, theres a lot of new stuff in the gallery- in the CURRENT section (to the right), there's a pinup I did for a motorcycle story, and three pages for HERESY (the graphic novel I'm currently doing the art for) from Spacedog, due out later this year/early next year. Also, I put a few pages in the COMIC BOOK/SEQUENTIAL section (below) from the issue of SE7EN I worked on, which came out this summer from Zenescope. ALSO- I have a blog now... go check it out at stevenperkins.blogspot.com, I'll be updating it whenever possible- posting new art/sketches and running my mouth about whatever is going on. The ARTSHOP has been updated- I have added over 20 new prints to the PRINTSHOP, and am offering many more original art pieces for sale as well. I will also be offering PACIFY in the artshop very soon in case you are unable to buy a copy at your local comics retailer (or don't have one near you).

Speaking of PACIFY, look for it in stores this Wednesday in the Image Comics section!

Finally! After 3 years of working and waiting, PACIFY is finally getting published! Image comics will be publishing it, and it will be in comic shops on March 22, 2006. It is available for pre-order in PREVIEWS right now- I have created a downloadable pre order form here, all you have to do is print it out and take it to your local comics retailer, they will take care of the rest.PACIFY is gonna be 96 pages of full-color goodness, and all for only $9.99. Plus, it will have a killer Ben Templesmith (FELL, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT) flip cover a la the old Marvel Comics Presents covers, with my cover on the flipside.

Also, I have a special offer going: Anyone who pre-orders/buys PACIFY and emails me a copy/scan/pic of their receipt and their mailing address will receive a free original PACIFY sketch, no questions asked. I might even throw some extra goodies in there too. Suffice it to say, I will make it worth your while to preorder the book.

I’ll definitely be posting tons of preview art and pages all over the internet up until the book’s release, but anyone unfamiliar with what PACIFY is can check it out at www.PacifyComic.com. On there, you will find preview pages, a story synopsis, charcter profiles, the works. There is an animated trailer to come, as well as a few contests and special offers, so be sure to keep an eye on the site. An exclusive 4-page PACIFY short appears in EVENT HORIZON 2 from Mam Tor Publishing, which came out yesterday in comic shops everywhere- check it out, it's a really great anthology chock full of fantastic stuff...

Working on a video game project right now as well as a full overhaul of the site. Also, be sure to pick up the CSI NY:Bloody Murder comic book series I worked on, out now from IDW Publishing.

Just got back from the San Diego Comic-Con, and holy bananurger, was it awesome! A pretty big deal concerning PACIFY is now in motion, and a big announcement is soon to come...

Next on the agenda is the WIZARDWORLD CHICAGO Con, this Aug. 5-7. I will be in artists' alley again this year, pimping PACIFY, selling books and prints, doing sketches, etc. If you are attending, drop by artists' alley table #9055 and say hello.

BOOK! I put together a 100 page black and white artbook/sketchbook available through Cafepress.com called ACID TONGUEBATH. It has all sorts of stuff inside from the past 3 years- old sketches and drawings, new experimental work, PACIFY sketches and drawings, raw pencils and inks from comics work, never before seen junk and the like, etc. I am offering the book through this site and in-person at the Wizardworld Chicago comicon in August...check it out here, you wont be disappointed!

CSI: Secret Identity #1 is in stores/comic shops today- check it out, it's written by Steven Grant and features art by Gabriel Rodriguez and myself...I put together a little preview of some of my work for it here.

Also, I'm putting together www.PACIFYcomic.com ...right now, it will take you to the PACIFY subsite, but in the coming weeks and months it will continue to grow with content, including animated content, downloads, info, and of course, plenty of new preview artwork...lots of stuff in development with PACIFY- it's future is definitely looking bright...
